Lord Peter Cruddas will join a fireside chat at FM Summit London on 24 November 2026 at Old Billingsgate.

Lord Cruddas founded CMC Markets in 1989. The firm launched the first online foreign exchange trading platform, introduced retail contracts for difference to the UK market, and listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2016.

Lord Cruddas remains CMC Markets’ Chief Executive and majority shareholder, and has sat in the House of Lords since 2021.

The conversation will cover Lord Cruddas’s career journey, taking the audience inside some of the most critical decisions along the way and the conviction they required.

It will also address timely themes as seen by one of the industry’s foremost pioneers, including tokenization of traded assets and the movement of retail brokers toward business-to-business infrastructure via the neo-investment banking model.

The CMC Markets founder will discuss his 2021 autobiography, Passport to Success: from Miilkman to Mayfair, and developments since its publication.

A few complementary copies of his book will be handed out after the session.
