My friend used ftx and made some gains like 6 digits before their collapsed. He cant access his account anymore. Binance got banned and its so hard to recover his account. Will the govt just let this pass since the information needed for him to do his tax is impossible to acquire now?

He used a lot pf brokerage in the pass and he lost track, some of it are no longer available in canada or already bankrupt and noway of accessing their service, app, or website. We can find out the brokerage he used tho by looking at his bank account history.
