Harry Fry has joined Edgewater Markets as Managing Director for Australia, according to a LinkedIn post published today (Thursday).

London’s trading industry is coming home!

Fry joins Edgewater after nearly four years at MAS Group, where he was Head of APAC. He said his time at the company involved developing the business across the Asia-Pacific region.

Finalto Tenure Included Institutional Business Development

Before MAS Group, Fry spent eight months at Invast Global as Director of Prime Services.

He previously spent more than five years at Finalto, joining as a Trading Solutions Analyst before moving into Institutional Business Development.

In that position, Fry worked with the institutional sales team to expand the client base and maintain existing business, according to his LinkedIn profile. His earlier role involved client relationship management and FX and CFD trade support for institutional clients.

Oversight Role Covered Institutional Position Checks

Fry also spent around one and a half years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He initially worked as a UK Funds Consultant before becoming an Oversight Analyst.

In that role, he was responsible for ensuring institutional positions were aligned between back-office operations and front-office portfolio managers within the required timeframes.

Edgewater Markets Adds Mauritius Licence

Fry’s appointment comes as Edgewater Markets expands its regulatory and trading infrastructure. The company obtained an Investment Dealer licence from the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, covering securities transactions, principal dealing, investment advice and portfolio management.

The licence followed its expansion of FX technology services for Gulf Cooperation Council currencies and Egypt.

Separately, Edgewater Markets was added to Gold-i’s MatrixNET liquidity management platform. The integration provides access to Edgewater’s FX, precious metals and non-deliverable forwards liquidity through the platform.
