Saxo Bank reported an 18% increase in net profit for the first half of 2026, as higher income and client assets lifted the Danish investment bank to its strongest half-year result on record.
Net profit reached EUR 87 million in the six months to June, up from EUR 73 million in H1 2025. Total income increased 12% year-on-year to EUR 375 million, compared with EUR 335 million a year earlier.
The result follows Saxo Bank’s 2025 financial performance, when the bank reported an adjusted net profit of EUR 120 million, alongside higher client activity and record client assets.
During 2025, J. Safra Sarasin Group agreed to acquire a majority stake in Saxo Bank from its existing shareholders. The transaction was completed in March this year.
Following the completion, Daniel Belfer was appointed CEO of Saxo Bank, while founder Kim Fournais became chairman of the board.
Saxo Client Assets Reach EUR 153B
Saxo said the H1 2026 result marked its “best half-year financial performance” in its history.
Client assets also increased during the period. Total client assets reached EUR 153 billion, up from EUR 118 billion in H1 2025. The number of clients rose to 1.7 million from 1.4 million.
Saxo attributed the performance partly to continued trading activity. It said market activity was supported by positive sentiment in equity markets and higher volatility in commodities, including oil and precious metals.
The bank also pointed to geopolitical tensions and elevated macroeconomic uncertainty during the first half of the year.
Compared with H1 2025, total income increased by EUR 40 million, while client assets rose by EUR 35 billion. The client base increased by around 300,000.
Saxo Focuses on Clients, AI
Saxo said it remained focused on expanding its global client and partner base during the period. It also continued to invest in its platforms and products.
The bank said further investment would focus on marketing, client offerings, artificial intelligence and other business-critical areas.
Belfer said the bank had delivered its “best half-year financial results in the bank’s history”. He also said Saxo had seen “solid growth in our client base”.
The H1 2026 figures compare with the following results for H1 2025:
The latest figures follow Saxo’s 2025 results, when the bank reported EUR 133 billion in client assets and 1.523 million clients for the full year.
Saxo Adds Elite Tier in Singapore
In May 2026, Saxo Bank launched Saxo Elite, a premium service tier for accredited investors and active traders in Singapore. The offering includes personal relationship managers and access to Saxo’s trading desk and in-house strategists. It sits alongside the bank’s existing digital platform.
The launch followed other product additions in Singapore, including margin accounts and fractional shares. Saxo has used Singapore as the operational centre of its Asia-Pacific business since closing its Hong Kong and Shanghai offices in 2024.
