Wanted to share this and see if anyone else had the same frustration, or if it’s useful to anyone but me.

Every market cap site shows the market 50 or 100 coins at a time and half the screen is ads. Got tired of it and built the thing I actually wanted: coingmi.com, basically a CoinMarketCap style list, but the whole top 1000 on one page. You still scroll a bit obviously, but it’s one dense list and imo loads very fast. Data is collected from the CoinGecko API.

Since I was storing a snapshot every day anyway, I added a timeline bar at the bottom, and it ended up being the most fun feature. Drag it back a year and press play, and you can watch the top 100 shuffle itself into today’s board. Coins you forgot about sliding down, random new stuff appearing halfway through. Here’s the board exactly one year ago if you want to try it: https://coingmi.com/?d=2025-09-02&follow=top100@2025-09-02 (the link also highlights that day’s top 100 so you can see where they end up)

If there’s something you always wanted a market overview to show, or if you spot any bugs, tell me and I’ll probably fix it.
