Britannia Global Markets has strengthened its board with the latest appointment of Lord Stanley Fink as its Chairman. Lord Fink is a member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom.
According to Companies House filings, Lord Fink joined Britannia’s board as a director last week.
“As Britannia Global Markets continues to establish itself as a major player within institutional and prime brokerage,” said Steve Pettitt, CEO at Britannia Global Markets, “we are attracting the names and talent that will support us as the business continues to grow.”
Headquartered in London, Britannia specialises in derivatives broking, including contracts for differences (CFDs) of foreign exchange, energy, agriculture, base metals and financial products. It also expanded into prime brokerage business in 2022.
A Financial Industry Veteran
Apart from being a parliamentarian, Lord Fink gained his reputation in the financial services industry, being the CEO of Man Group between 2000 and 2007. During his tenure at Man Group, Lord Fink oversaw a period in which the firm grew into one of the largest listed hedge fund companies in the world. By the mid-2000s, Man Group had become a constituent of the FTSE 100.
After Man, he also held several other executive positions, including being CEO and then Chairman of International Standard Asset Management.
He has also been part of several other company boards and was an advisor to the board of eToro.
