I have a sizeable amount of cash still in reserve that I’m looking to deploy later this fall, especially if we get another leg down.
I’m primarily a BTC maxi and been holding for a very long time, it makes up about 75-80% of my portfolio. The rest is ETH and ADA that I’m staking, both of which I’ve also had for a very long time. I have a VERY large position in ADA that I’ve had for a while now and I thought about loading up more because it’s unbelievably cheap. The fact I could buy 50k ADA for less than $10,000 at under 20 cents is a crazy entry when it was trading at above 50 cents for almost all of 2025. However, I’m also a bit concerned about overexposing to just this one particular alt, which honestly gives me pause to reflect upon some other options.
I’m most likely going to invest at least 50% of this remaining capital into BTC but I’m considering either Link or Solana. I really am not too sure which one I want to go with here, Solana in particular I like because of it’s staking rewards but LINK being under $10 I see as a solid entry point. I think both have a good amount of potential going into 2028 and beyond.
However, there’s also a part of me that is thinking just going 100% into BTC just to keep things simple. I don’t want to overspeculate on alts and looking back on my many years in crypto I would have been way better off just being 100% BTC the entire way through.
