I’ve been thinking about this while watching the market lately.
Crypto was supposed to give people an alternative to the traditional financial system. Yet so much of the market now revolves around ETFs, institutional money, interest rates and regulators.
And honestly, I’m not sure that’s a bad thing.
If institutions bring more liquidity and make crypto easier for normal people to access, that’s probably good for adoption.
But there’s still something weird about building an alternative to traditional finance and then depending on traditional finance to make it mainstream.
At what point does “crypto adoption” become crypto just becoming another part of TradFi?
