So I sold off varioys crypto I was in today. During a little upward surge I got to be where I was about even. Might be a slight gain or slight loss I’m thinking. Now its not too big of a deal but every crypto I sold on Robinhood showed that I made a profit on it ranging anywhere from like 2.50 to like 25.00 dollars of like 6 different cryptos. But when I actually add up all my buy prices and compare it to the sell price I’m actually negative on every one I sold.
Now I’m sure this has to do with the fee on the buying end and selling end that had me negative and the total amount down isn’t a big deal but I was thinking this might be a big deal for people who deal in trading a lot of crypto all year round for tax purposes if its showing you in the green on a lot of transactions that you were actually negative on. I feel like the fees should be counted in determining if you profited or lost money on a sell.
