People was quite interest last time so a brief update on my bot and it’s first 6 days running. 99% of this is pure luck and it gets worse. I have a regime gate; 6 days ago it was saying Risk-off. This is when I turned on my bot. So it went into the market looking for shorts. It’ currency says the market is Neutral. Does it go bull or bear.. who knows?
I have set it up for 20% position sizing and then it rebalances every 14 days. Besides that there is a take profit after 7 days (which is tomorrow)
It picked DEXE for whatever reason the Bear scored it high. It’s simply explained essentially an array of variables which have a negative impact on price/momentum. I will not touch anything and see where this goes – bet me hard if it goes back to 35 and my entire strategy has failed me. But I believe in random forward walk backtests and it has shown me the light; rebalance too often and you’ll drastically increase your drawdown. Shave your position instead.
So currently up little under 15% in the first week.
I publish everything on my site while I continue to build it. Currently have two other strategies being shadow’ed which potentially can reduce drawdown by a good margin.
