Australia-based retail FX and CFDs broker Eightcap has appointed Will Hardy as Executive Director of its UK entity, Eightcap Group Ltd, according to the UK Financial Conduct Authority register.

The appointment follows a series of recent leadership changes at the broker. Bryn Newell became Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne-headquartered Eightcap, succeeding Alex Howard, who had led the company for more than two and a half years.

Those changes also included the departure of Eightcap UK’s Chief Executive Officer, Ollie Rosewell, after about eight months in the role.

Eightcap Appoints Industry Veteran Will Hardy

Hardy has more than 35 years of experience in financial markets. In his LinkedIn profile, he says he has worked “mainly in derivatives,” including “exchange traded futures and multi asset OTC” covering CFDs, Spread Betting, FX, Crypto. He added that he has worked with “a variety of brokers, from big international houses to bootstrapping start ups,” serving both institutional and retail clients.

Before joining Eightcap, Hardy spent about one year as Head of Partners for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Trade Nation.

Earlier, he spent about one year and four months as Global Head of Commercial Operations and Head of UK Sales and Support at Zenfinex. Before that, he served as General Manager at TigerWit Group for more than three years.

His earlier roles also include about 10 months as Head of FX at Tera Europe, more than two years as Business Development Manager at LMAX Exchange, and more than a decade as Head of Retail Sales at IG Group.

Eightcap Integrates Trading Challenges with TradingView

Separately, Eightcap expanded its simulated trading offering by integrating its Eightcap Challenges evaluation product with TradingView, allowing eligible clients to complete simulated trading challenges through the platform’s interface.

The broker has partnered with TradingView since 2022 for live trading connectivity and introduced its own simulated trading challenges in late 2024 after ending MetaTrader services for third-party proprietary trading firms.
