Fairly long term holder – 6 years or so so it’s been a good journey for me. Not life changing but reasonably good.
But, the hard reality is what problem solution does any crypto really solve? I recently watched an hour long documentary on Python. Interviews with Guido van Rossum and many other key figures. I began to compare Python and Crypto. Python solved a real need for easier to read code. Adoption just occurred and continues. So, I began to compare what does Crypto solve? I struggle to find one real world problem that it solves so well that adoption is assured. I am not talking about what we hope it solves (ridding us of fiat and government manipulation as example), but what solution does it provide? I honestly can’t think of anything. Surely there is hopefully something to allow certain adoption. Or, are we just hooked on it’s a cool concept and certain others will get on board for the same reason?
Convince me I am wrong. As I am certainly possibly missing what the problem being solved is. Thanks.
