Just caught this from Kaspa founder Yonatan Sompolinsky (@hashdag on X) – they’re planning not one, but TWO hard forks this year.

First one’s Covenants++ kicking off early May, which is basically laying the groundwork for native assets, smart wallets, vaults, and even some ZK rollup stuff on mainnet. Sounds like it’s gonna make Kaspa way more programmable.

Then, end of Q3, they’re rolling out DAG KNIGHT with a BPS boost aiming for 40-25 ms block times. That’s real time level speed while keeping the PoW decentralization intact. From what I read in his Medium post, this is part of pushing Kaspa as “real-time Bitcoin”. The dev team’s expanding too, which is huge for a fair-launched project. Timelines are aggressive but he says realistic with the new hires. If they pull this off, Kaspa could seriously eat into Solana/Eth’s lunch on speed and usability.
