Hot take but I think interoperability is the biggest unsolved problem in crypto right now. Not scalability, not UX, not regulation. It’s the fact that we have 50+ chains that barely talk to each other.
Try explaining to a normie why their NFT on Ethereum can’t easily move to Polygon, or why bridging tokens requires trusting some random multisig. It’s insane.
The good news is some teams are actually solving this. Been experimenting with Caldera’s approach where chains can natively communicate through their Metalayer protocol. It’s not perfect but it’s way better than traditional bridges.
What we really need is for more projects to prioritize interop from day one instead of treating it as an afterthought. Every new L1 or L2 that launches in isolation just makes the problem worse.
Curious what everyone else thinks. Are we ever gonna have true cross chain composability or are we stuck with bridge hell forever?
