I had a great job and was just getting into crypto with a steady DCA plan, and then out of nowhere I got laid off. It was a total shock, I did not see it coming whatsoever, and my position was eliminated so this is not temporary. With the job market being an absolute shithole right now, it’s officially been over two months of being unemployed, with no end in sight. Thankfully I have a savings and an emergency fund so I’m surviving, but I’m now pausing all contributions to my various investments— Roth IRA, taxable brokerage, and crypto.

At the start of my unemployment I did sell a few shares of some individual stocks and bought a dip, but I can’t really do that again, I want to keep the stocks I have. It’s killing me to not be able to take advantage of the crypto dips happening rn (I’m currently invested in BTC, ETH, and SOL). But at the same time, idk how long I’m going to be unemployed so it doesn’t seem wise to keep stacking when I don’t have any money coming in. My unemployment claim is going through a lengthy appeals process and I’m fairly certain it will get straightened out, but yeah currently I have zero dollars coming in and I’m just living off my savings and emergency fund.

Anyone in a similar situation? Any advice? Much appreciated!
