Ontology releases new ONTO Client

Chepicap via

Ontology has announced the launch of the ONTO Client, for Android devices. The company has described ONTO as a "comprehensive decentralized client product, which is an entrance of [the] trust search engine and blockchain system." The ONTO Client is a digital wallet that allows users to manage their funds on the Ontology MainNet, as well as creating and managing their own digital identity.

This digital identity, or "multi-dimensional identity portrait", is built through the linking of identity trust sources, such as eID, CA, governments, institutions, schools, groups and individuals. ONTO uses these trusted sources to create a certificate of identity trust and records it to the blockchain. Users can then use these certificates to verify claims of identity.

Accompanying this release is the start of the mapping and migration process, from the initial NEP-5 based ONT token to the Ontology MainNet token.
