EBC Financial Group (EBC) has launched over 100 new US-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) contracts for difference (CFDs). The addition expands the company’s existing product offering and provides clients with access to a wider range of theme-based trading instruments.
Over 100 ETFs Added to CFDs
The new CFDs include ETFs listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ. These ETFs are issued by large asset managers such as Vanguard, iShares (BlackRock), and State Street Global Advisors. The products cover multiple market sectors and global macroeconomic themes.
The ETF CFDs offer exposure to various segments, including regional indexes like the iShares MSCI Brazil ETF, fixed-income strategies like the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond Fund, and sector-specific options like the United States Oil Fund LP and the Vanguard Health Care ETF. Other categories include dividend-based indexes, mid-cap equity baskets, and style-based tracking funds.

Thematic ETFs Show Varied Market Performance
Certain ETFs have historically shown varying performance depending on market conditions. For example, during the 2021 post-pandemic recovery, the iShares MSCI Brazil ETF outperformed the S&P 500. This suggests that thematic products can behave differently from broader indexes depending on market trends.
These CFD products allow for leveraged trading and the ability to take both long and short positions. Compared to investing directly in ETFs, traders using CFDs avoid traditional fund fees and brokerage costs. Trades are processed in real time through EBC’s trading platforms.
