Prop Firm Match, a proprietary trading firm comparison platform, has been accused of triggering affiliate links when visitors click internal features, including firm profiles and promotional code buttons.

London’s trading industry is coming home!

Trader Kane (@traderkane) raised the allegations in a video posted on X on Thursday. He said the redirects occurred when visitors clicked these features rather than advertised external links. The original browser tab was reportedly redirected through an affiliate link to the relevant prop firm’s website, while the intended page opened in a new tab.

Apex, Tradeify and Topstep Cut Ties

Apex Trader Funding announced on X on Friday (30 October) that it had terminated its affiliate relationship with Prop Firm Match and disabled all associated tracking codes.

Apex said the decision followed a review of referral tracking practices and compliance with its Affiliate Marketing Agreement. It did not specify which practices prompted the termination or whether it found a breach of the agreement.

Tradeify also announced on X that it had ended its relationship with Prop Firm Match after finding that the platform had breached its affiliate terms. The decision also means Prop Firm Match will no longer sponsor the Premier Trading League (PTL).

Topstep has also said it is ending its relationship with Prop Firm Match. The firm said it had paid $10,000 per month for a listing, with its highest position reaching sixth place. It claimed that the first-place listing costs $100,000 per month. Ending the arrangement will save Topstep $10,000 monthly.

Goat Funded Trader has also terminated its affiliate partnership with Prop Firm Match, adding to the list of firms ending their relationships with the platform.

Affiliate Rules Prohibit Forced Tracking

Prop Firm Match’s affiliate terms prohibit hidden iframe redirects, forced cookies and other methods of artificially generating referrals. Its website discloses that it earns commissions from prop firm challenge purchases made through its affiliate links and promotional codes.

The alleged redirects have raised questions about how affiliate referrals are attributed and whether the practice complies with the platform’s own rules.

Prop Firm Match Says It Is Investigating

Prop Firm Match responded to Kane’s post, saying: “We’re looking into the questions raised and will share a full statement within 24 hours.”

Kane used My Funded Futures (MFFU) as an example in his video, but directed his allegations at Prop Firm Match’s website practices, not MFFU.

Finance Magnates has contacted Prop Firm Match for comment but had not received a response at the time of writing.
