Two weeks ago, we found that someone had cloned a client’s storefront from its public case-study repo, down to a typo in one of my comments, and added a fake crypto checkout step to steal customers’ wallet seed phrases. The VPS host sent an auto-reply and the clone was still up days later, so I moved the client to a stack I fully control with BeAdmin, which at least shows me exactly what is exposed on the box.

Has anyone else had a client site not just copied, but also turned into a scam like this?
