Vitalik Buterin stated that the battle to make zero-knowledge proofs fast enough for Ethereum is definitively won and that the top priority for zkEVMs should now shift fully to security. ZKsync’s Airbender Prime prover delivered 99% of proofs across 7,200 consecutive mainnet blocks in under 10 seconds. Ethereum blocks arrive every 12 seconds.
