Nir Iter has joined AvaTrade as Cyprus Business Unit Director, according to an update shared on LinkedIn today (Monday). Iter said he will focus on growing the company’s affiliate and partnerships business. He will be based in Cyprus.

London’s trading industry is coming home!

The appointment follows recent expansion activity at AvaTrade. Finance Magnates reported in June that the broker was seeking to acquire Stratos Group, which operates the FXCM and Tradu brands.

The move also comes as Cyprus remains a major hiring hub for the retail trading industry. Partner, business development and affiliate marketing roles were among the areas showing strong demand across the sector earlier this year.

AvaTrade Hires Exness Affiliate Executive

Iter most recently worked at Exness, where he spent nearly eight years. He served as Affiliate Commercial Lead for about two and a half years.

Before that, Iter was Senior Affiliate Manager at Exness for more than five years. His roles at the company covered affiliate and partnership activities.

Iter joined Exness after a five-month stint at ExplorAds Ltd., where he served as VP Media.

The development comes amid changes in Exness’ European operations. Last year, Exness shifted its European licensed business towards institutional services while focusing its retail operations on emerging markets.

Iter Held Three Roles at Fularo

Earlier in his career, he spent more than six years at Fularo Holdings Ltd. in Cyprus. He joined the company as Media Team Leader.

He was promoted to Media Manager after two months and later became Director of Media, a role he held for more than three years.
