It’s difficult to go through creating this post without naming a specific incident, but if you see a person who is a 5-second living meme from YouTube or TikTok or a politician creating a brand new cryptocurrency or token or digital asset or coin and think it is a good idea to invest in, you really should be looking for previous “success stories” which are non-existent now.
If you really care about friends and family and their finances, you will tell them that it never ends well no matter who created the cryptocurrency token in question or what their intentions are. You should tell them that you could just as easily create a cryptocurrency and do the same thing as that celebrity or meme-coin maker.
Fame or infamy may be a lightning rod of eyeballs to get people looking at a cryptocurrency. But, as stated before, it never ends well.
