Hi ๐
Not sure what to do, I was doing a swap on the Base app yesterday like Iโve done a number of times before, except this time the ETH i was expecting to come out of the swap never showed up. I swapped Base USDC for Ethereum on the Ethereum network, the transaction is marked completed in base but I never got my ETH.
After some digging, it seems my ETH is stuck โinflightโ in a gas.zip contract. Itโs been inflight over 10 hours. The transaction showed completed on block explorer as well but on basescan and ethscan the transaction is not listed nor is the missing ETH. Weird, kinda sus.
I luckily find gas.zip has a discord for technical support, reach out there and to open a ticket and aside from acknowledging the ticket I have heard nothing for 9 hours. On top of that I have been muted from their channel for the next 7 days, wtf?
Is gas.zip a scam? why would my ETH be routed through gas.zip, I was assuming the base app had its own swap engine but I guess I was wrong?
Any suggestions on recovering my ETH would be appreciated. Will be using Uniswap or something from now on I guess.
