There are already many games in the “Web3” space, and no matter how you feel about those games, having your in game items be collectable NFT assets is a brilliant idea that could lead to an explosive marketplace making many millionaires.

We already see games like Off The Grid, where every gun, every cyber limb, every cosmetic you own is on the block chain with serial numbers. Although Off The Grid hasn’t leaped all hurdles to make trading on OpenSea available on console and in the U.S. yet, the concept is fantastic.

Imagine in GTA6, you are there on launch week and let’s say every car you own in your garage can be sold on a digital marketplace to other users. Your car has a serial # on it, let’s say you were the first person to log in, you now have #1 of that car model, and can trade the first of that model ever in GTA6 on the marketplace. It’s a no brainer.

The way Rockstar makes the money here is in fees. They can literally create the token, and let the economy do the rest. If every in game transaction is through their token, it not only gives their token a use case, but it’s an endless stream of income. For players, getting limited edition items or coveted serial numbers could sell for big amounts of the crypto token and that token can be traded like any other token on an exchange.

What are your guy’s thoughts on this?
