Match-Trader Prop has released a platform update in February, introducing full backend integration with MetaTrader 5 alongside a series of operational and monetization enhancements. The update also includes improvements to onboarding, verification, challenge management, and administrative workflows.
Several prop firms are reintroducing MetaTrader5 alongside existing platforms such as Match-Trader and cTrader. Funding Pips, Instant Funding, and MyFundedFX have restored MT5 access through direct licenses.
Prop Firms Manage Trading Through MT5
The MT5 integration allows prop firms to connect their trading programs directly to the platform. According to the company, the integration covers the full prop trading lifecycle, including account creation, equity calculation, challenge management, trading restrictions, and account breach handling.
The frontend now displays MT5 prop accounts with live balance updates and detailed challenge status. Administrators can manage both MT5 and Match-Trader systems through a unified backend.
Match-Trader Adds Ondato KYC Support
The release adds Ondato as a supported Know Your Customer provider. Brokers can now choose between Ondato and SumSub within configuration settings. The update introduces a dedicated verification button and dynamic configuration options to simplify onboarding and verification flows.
The company said the changes provide greater flexibility for compliance processes and streamline the verification experience for traders.
The platform also introduces phase-based challenge payments. Prop firms can set separate fees for each challenge phase, replacing a single upfront payment model. The update improves handling of affiliate rewards, discount codes, and add-ons. According to the company, this structure lowers upfront costs for traders and allows prop firms to attract and retain more participants.
Platform Adds Symbol Grouping and Filters
New add-ons include options to increase maximum daily profit limits and shorten withdrawal intervals for funded accounts. A data export feature now delivers accounts, positions, and closed trades in a format compatible with Manager 2.0, removing the need for manual reformatting. Symbol grouping and advanced filtering have been added, allowing brokers to configure and manage trading symbols more efficiently.
The update also enhances network reliability and connectivity transparency. Automatic reconnection handles brief outages, while a dynamic Wi-Fi icon provides real-time status and ping feedback.
Additional operational updates include a dedicated Account Rules tab for routing, hedge, and abuse rules, a new exposure calculation mode based on lots, timestamp logging for Terms and Conditions, mobile access to deposit and withdrawal request details, and a branch column in the IB Requests table.
