Raymundo Riva Palacio (Mexican journalist) is reporting that upcoming US military operations in Mexico are aimed at dismantling cartel money laundering networks that run on Tether (USDT).

US intelligence noticed terrorist groups and cartels were heavily using USDT, so they planted digital bait to track transactions. That’s how they found two major nodes – one in Baja California, another in Mazatlán.

Cartels move criminal proceeds into USDT, then:

Send it to cold wallets Seconds later, move it to hot wallets Execute trades through Exchange platforms

they were negotiating deals through voice chat in a popular video game. Not even playing, just using the mics because those conversations can’t be intercepted.
