After losing around 4k last year because of my own stupid mistakes and dopamine-chasing bullshit, I started thinking… maybe I should switch to something more boring?
Like when an app makes trading feel like a game with all those animations, confetti, instant actions, I just start making dumb decisions with real money. The clicking feels too easy yk?
So I did something more dumb: I intentionally moved to the most boring setup I could tolerate… I ended up going with Atomic Wallet, not because it’s objectively better or anything, but because the UI is kinda boring lol. Like it looks like software your grandma would use to file her taxes. No fancy animations, no dopamine hits and honestly that friction is exactly what I need. It forces me to slow down and actually think before I do something stupid.
Look, I’m not shilling Atomic or anything, I don’t get paid for this lol. Just genuinely curious if there are other weirdos here who’ve realized that boring UI is actually a solution, not a problem? Like for real, it’s so painfully dull that I’ve become way more chill about my holdings. I’m not gonna fumble them because there’s literally nothing exciting enough to click on impulse.
Anyone else deliberately using “less fun” wallets or platforms just to protect themselves from… themselves?
