In case of crypto currencies everywhere the importance of using cold storage and keeping ones seed phrase away from the internet is stressed.

But when using online banking, my bank account is accessible online, and my password is stored in a password manager.

Why the discrepancy here? If someone got access to my online banking e.g. by a phishing attack they could do a lot of harm, too.

Additional question: Would keeping half the seed phrase in a password manager and the other half on a sheet of paper not be the optimal solution? That way someone who gets access to either my pw manager or the sheet of paper, they still won’t be able to access my wallet.
